Post-exposure prophylaxis after sexual exposure to HIV (PEPSE)
PEPSE is a treatment which may stop you contracting HIV if you've had sex with an infected person.
It's essential that you seek treatment as soon as possible, and within 72 hours of having sex with an HIV positive person.
PEPSE is available from Umbrella's Whittall Street Clinic during opening hours. If Whittall Street Clinic is closed, PEPSE is available from your nearest A&E department.
You do not need an appointment for PEPSE. Please attend Whittall Street Clinic (during opening hours) or A&E (if Whittall Street Clinic is closed) as soon as possible.
